Maritime Medical Support

Challenge

A maritime deployment from Cape Town to Dakar required advanced clinical capability at sea, where access to shore-based healthcare and definitive surgical care could be limited during the transit.

Solution

Iqarus deployed an experienced General Surgeon to provide shipboard medical support, including Damage Control Resuscitation and Damage Control Surgery capability, supported by mission-specific planning, equipment management and integration with the vessel's medical and operational teams.

The deployment provided access to advanced surgical expertise throughout the maritime mission, strengthening onboard medical readiness and the ability to respond to serious illness or injury while at sea.
