Course Overview
Developed by Iqarus, Medicine in Remote Areas (MIRA) provides personnel with existing pre-hospital care experience with the additional skills and knowledge required to assess, treat and manage casualties in remote and resource-constrained environments.
The programme combines trauma and medical emergency management with dynamic risk assessment, casualty handling and prolonged patient care, preparing participants to manage patients when access to definitive care or evacuation may be delayed.

Who It's For

Standards & Accreditation
The Iqarus MIRA™ course is endorsed by the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and meets the requirements of the Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine Skills Framework at Descriptor D. The Iqarus MIRA™ qualification is valid for three years.
