Course Overview

Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) applies lessons learned from military trauma care to the civilian tactical environment, developing the skills required to reduce preventable death during high-threat incidents.

The programme develops casualty assessment, life-saving intervention and patient movement across the three phases of tactical care: Direct Threat Care, Indirect Threat Care and Evacuation Care.

• Surgical airway management and needle decompression

Who It's For

First responders, ambulance clinicians, paramedics, nurses, doctors and personnel providing medical support in tactical, hostile or remote environments.

Standards & Accreditation

The NAEMT TECC programme is based on guidelines established by the Committee on Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (C-TECC) and is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma. The course is accredited by CAPCE for 16 hours of continuing education credit, recognised by NREMT and provides 16 CPD hours externally accredited by the UK CPD Certification Service.
