Mali: Mobile Deployed Field Hospital

We designed, manufactured, deployed, staffed, equipped and operate a mobile and rapidly deployable Damage Control Surgery capability for a multinational military training mission.

Packed into 3 standard-sized ISO containers, this mobile unit meant that we were able to extend the mission’s reach across Mali and still ensure the 10-1-2 clinical timeline rule. This pathway prioritises assessment, resuscitation and prompt transfer of a patient to a facility that can effectively manage the injuries sustained. – life saving treatment within 10 minutes, extraction to damage control resuscitation facility within one hour, and evacuation to the next level of care for damage control surgery within 2 hours.

To extend the Mission’s reach across Mali, to enable its decentralised approach for delivering training to the Malian Armed Forces and ensuring the 10-1-2 clinical timeline rule.

To provide accessible medical support to EU standards, enabling the EU’s Training Mission to reduce risks to its troops operating in a complex and volatile environment.

We provided a unique solution packed into 3 standard-sized ISO containers. Six medical staff were deployed, along with teams to provide management, facilities management and supply chain. Our teams integrated seamlessly into the EUTM’s medical and operations command and control structures.
